Address: Dee Dee TV! Fridays 11 pm Comcast Cable Channel 29 San Francisco. The program is produced, directed, animated, shot and edited by Dee Dee Russell with Richard Lefrak and a volunteer staff. Each episode shares a part of Russell's life as a dedicated, fun loving slightly neurotic San Francisco artist.
Dee Dee TV! has been featured as part of a weekly series on Comcast Cable Channel 29, AccesSF produced in San Francisco since 1995.
Featuring San Francisco bohemia with original cartoons, guerilla coverage of art events, satirical rants, artistic nudity (rated PG) and more. The life of Dee Dee Russell is as interesting as her guests and each half hour program is a unique slice of San Francisco bohemia
The show is 450 episodes strong with thousands of hours of archive footage. She brings her knowledge and dedication of alternative lifestyles to her animation, reviews and interviews.
Dee Dee TV!'s progressive original animation, video equipment and their adventurous production style won two Cable Access Awards (1997, 1998), the San Francisco Weekly Newspaper's "Best of San Francisco" award for The Most Outrageous TV Lifestyle in the Bay Area (2002) and the Hometown USA Video Festival Award "Best Entertainment Program" in the USA.
Dee Dee's animation and dramatic film work has also won awards from the American Film Institute, Mill Valley Film Festival, Film Arts Festival, Marche'De Amiens (France) among others.
